I love this place. We moved here, from Salinas, a few months ago and we are glad we chose Pacific Pines.

The management here is amazing! I would really like to thank Ms. Donna Bradley (Community Manager) for going all the way out for us. My husband and I are international students and we were hoping to get an apartment quickly before the school semester starts. The moment she had a cancellation, she came out of the office, called out to us and brought us for a house tour. Ms. Donna Bradley was also friendly, and patiently attended to all my enquiries, explaining about the utilities, P&G, laundry area, parking, maintenances. As we had pressing matters at hand, we explained our situation to her. She was extremely understanding with our situation and accommodated with our arrangements. I am extremely grateful for her kind assistance with our lodging processes and I commend her on her professionalism as a community manager. tags: property manager , management

My wife and I stayed here for 4 months while she took an nursing assignment in the area and we absolutely love it! The apartments are nicely updated, the staff and maintenance team are great to work with. The grounds are kept up very well, parking is ample. It is in a great location, very central to everything. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and we are sad to be leaving.

We had been looking for a place for a few months to no avail, ended up running across this complex. Donna was extremely responsive and helpful, and made it very easy for us to get approved and into a unit quickly. I did everything remotely, they sent great video walk throughs of the unit, they accept online payments for security deposits and holds and then rent too, and we are able to sign our lease remotely as well. Things move very very fast around here so come prepared to pay a hold deposit quickly, as you may lose your chance at the unit before you could imagine. Proof of renters insurance and utility account number are needed before move in day too, so be ready for that. Overall, an awesome experience so far though.

Please be aware that there is no one on site that answers the phone; instead, there is an offsite answering service that screens calls, including for emergency maintenance. It may also be helpful to know that move in is only possible during business hours (8a-5p). There is no lock box or other system to support new tenants arriving to Monterey outside of those hours. UPDATE: I’ve changed my rating from 1 to 4 stars based on the property manager’s response to the above concerns. She was able to change the start date on my lease so that I won’t have to pay both a night of rent and the cost of a last-minute hotel (I’m only paying the latter). Monica even offered to use her own personal time to stay late and let me in to my new apartment after hours, which was very kind of her. I still want to make sure readers are aware of the phone answering service (which seems to be necessary because Monica is doing the job of 3-4 people and therefore can’t be stationed at the phones all day). I’ll update this review if it changes or turns out to not be a problem moving forward. I also think prospective tenants should be aware that move in is only possible during business hours, so plan accordingly.

August 2018, after 25 years renting at Spaghetti Hill in Monterey, we had to move. We looked at a variety of properties in the area. Because of a shortage of affordable longterm rentals in Monterey, we were thinking about leaving the area. Nevertheless, after seeing craftsmen finishing one of those newly remodeled Pacific Pines apartments, we looked and found Monica, the property manager. And yes it's nearly a year now, and we have no regrets, it's an excellent choice, thanks to people like Jeremy & Monica, and the unique property location, next door to the Portuguese Hall. You all have a most beautiful day, every day. helmut s. & Tae Hui

This is my first apartment since moving here from Illinois. Monterey is insanely beautiful and Monica, the property manager of this complex, strives to maintain the level of comfort and quality you'd expect in this area. If there is ever an issue, she is on it with a solution, typically same day. She is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about the condition of the property and the comfort of its residents. The missing star is related to the growing pains Casanova grove/Pacific pines is experiencing trying to create the ideal place to live. The apartments/buildings are being modernized with all of the upgrades such as stainless steel appliances, new plush carpet, dark woodgrain laminate flooring, but as other tenants have mentioned, this often means construction teams around making noise (doing their jobs). There were also previous plumbing issues which are now being remedied, which again means water shut offs that can put a wrench in cooking, showering, laundry, etc. These are true inconveniences and can be stressful at times. But i see light at the end of the tunnel and the pros far outweigh the cons. There is a beautiful pool with sky deck above, complete with outdoor fireplace, and views of the ocean. Bbq grills for tenant use within the pool area, as well as comfy lounge chairs and umbrellas, really make me feel spoiled living here. I toured a lot of apartments before choosing this one, honestly even after choosing this one, and was unable to beat the combination of modern decor, amazing amenities, and a manager i had confidence in. Pacific pines will have a 5 star rating from me without a doubt when the dust settles. Inconvenience is a necessary evil for improvement unfortunately. Highly recommend this complex.

I enjoy living at this complex! I have lived here for 3 years at a 2 bedroom apartment and at my current 1 bedroom. I have also been here through the management switches. While I do miss the old mangers Glenda and Ernie. AMC LLC and Monica (the new manger) are fixing thinks that weren’t fixed by the old mangers. This staff is still very friendly and for me quick to fix my circuit breaker was fixed quickly. Right now theirs a lot of fixing but it is needed. Before the owner change the pipes were leaking into the parking lot a lot. Thank you Pacific Pines.

When I was first looking to move to Monterey Bay, Monica (Property Manager) was the first person to respond to me out of probably ten properties. During the application process she was easy to work with. She replied quickly to all of my questions and requests. We had to take care of most things digitally and she was adamant about scanning documents back and fourth. As a manager she is very personable and it makes the place worth the price. The property itself is quiet, well-kept and modern.

Updated review: Originally, I wasn’t impressed with the property. I rated it a 1. It’s under renovation, so a lot of things need to be fixed. Some cabinets are crooked or missing screws. My upstairs bathtub floods my downstairs bathroom when I take a bath. The problems been looked at multiple times but hasn’t been fixed. A few electrical outlets don’t work. I changed my review because the property manager is wonderful. She truly cares about the residents and wants them to feel at home. Today, she set appointments to fix the issues and took a look at the problems herself. The problems with the property are annoying but minor. And having a caring property manager makes a huge difference.
